Biography

Dr Lachlan Byth is a consultant dermatologist in private practice in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, CBD, and Lower North Shore. He undertook specialist training at Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney Children’s Hospital, Eastern Suburbs Dermatology, Concord Hospital, and Royal North Shore Hospital, as well as a clinical fellowship at the John Radcliffe Hospital and Churchill Hospital in Oxford, UK.

He qualified with a Doctor of Medicine from Griffith University, awarded with distinction, the University Medal, and the Dean's Medallion, and a Master of Public Health (Epidemiology) from the University of NSW, awarded with excellence. He was awarded the Australasian College of Dermatologists Travelling Fellowship for achieving the highest score in the national fellowship examinations.

Dr Byth is active in research, having published widely in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international meetings on topics including inflammatory skin disease, paediatric dermatology, cutaneous lymphoma, and artificial intelligence in dermatology.

Dr Byth is experienced in medical and surgical dermatology. His focus is the early diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer, and inflammatory skin disorders, including acne, rosacea, eczema, and psoriasis.
