Dr Lachlan Byth undertook specialist training at Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney Children’s Hospital, Eastern Suburbs Dermatology, Concord Hospital, and Royal North Shore Hospital, as well as a clinical fellowship at the John Radcliffe Hospital and Churchill Hospital in Oxford, UK. He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine with distinction from Griffith University, earning both the University Medal and the Dean’s Medallion. He also holds a Master of Public Health (Epidemiology) from the University of NSW, awarded with excellence.
Dr Byth was awarded the Australasian College of Dermatologists’ Travelling Fellowship for achieving the highest score in the national fellowship examinations. He remains active in research, having published widely in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international meetings on topics including inflammatory skin disease, paediatric dermatology, cutaneous lymphoma, and artificial intelligence in dermatology.
Dr Byth is experienced in medical and surgical dermatology. His focus is the early diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer, and inflammatory skin disorders, including acne, rosacea, eczema, and psoriasis.
